Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje for the 2025\/2026 Academic Year<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Documents for Application and Enrollment<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following steps are here to guide the foreign students through the process of application and enrollment at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.<br \/>\nFor further information, please contact the person in charge of foreign students:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Evdokija Ilievska: e-mail: (<a href=\"mailto:evdokijailijevska@ukim.edu.mk\">evdokijailijevska@ukim.edu.mk<\/a>), tel.: +389 2 3293 232.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1 \u2013 Application form<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application and enrollment process at the Ss. Cyril and the Methodius University in Skopje is in the period August 29 \u2013 September 30. This timeline is set to ensure that all foreign students have enough time to gather and submit the necessary documents, such as nostrification and other required paperwork. Please, take into consideration that the nostrification process carried out at the Ministry of Education and Science can take several weeks.<br \/>\nThe first step towards applying at the University is filling in the Application A1 Form. (<a href=\"https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/application-form.doc\">form A1<\/a>);<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2 \u2013 Nostrification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diploma nostrification is a process by which the Republic of North Macedonia\u2019s Ministry of Education and Science recognizes a foreign diploma.<br \/>\nBefore being admitted, all applicants must submit a decision on the recognition of their international qualifications.<br \/>\nCandidates should take into consideration the fact that the process takes several weeks and should be completed ahead of time (June-July), prior the deadline for submitting documents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Procedure for nostrification of documents in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NOSTRIFICATION OF A PREVOUSLY FINISHED EDUCATION<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original diploma for completed secondary education (certified with an apostille stamp, i.e. a stamp from the relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs for countries that are not members of the Hague Convention)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two photocopies of the original diploma (one copy notarized);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two copies of the diploma translated by an authorized court translator in the Republic of North Macedonia (one copy notarized);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original certificates for each completed year in secondary education;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two photocopies of each original certificate (one of which needs to be notarized);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two copies of each certificate translated by an authorized court translator in the Republic of North Macedonia (one copy needs to be notarized).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/Request.docx\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/Request.docx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630365000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0-aaMyvNnHOZUOtY_RuxS8\">Request<\/a>\u00a0to Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original birth certificate and two photocopies;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original citizenship certificate and two photocopies;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original birth certificate and two photocopies (for persons who were not born in the Republic of North Macedonia<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two copies of the birth certificate translated by an authorized court translator in the Republic of North Macedonia (one copy notarized);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original citizenship certificate and two photocopies (for persons who were not born in the Republic of North Macedonia<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two copies of the citizenship certificate translated by an authorized court translator in the Republic of North Macedonia (one copy needs to be notarized).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further information regarding the nostrification process can be found on the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mon.gov.mk\/stored\/document\/Cikli%20I%20EN.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/mon.gov.mk\/stored\/document\/Cikli%2520I%2520EN.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630365000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3BI5UVMgiCW8H0Vd-ca4oA\">here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3 \u2013 Application and admission process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The admission of students is conducted within the rules published in the Competition for enrollment of students in the first cycle studies in the study programs of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in the academic 2024\/2025, published at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukim.edu.mk\/en_content.php?meni=175&amp;glavno=73\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ukim.edu.mk\/en_content.php?meni%3D175%26glavno%3D73&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630365000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3s7X5dvpvi0UMiDKoUuYr6\">University\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application dates: 29 August till 27 September<\/p>\n<p>Candidates shall apply electronically at the following address:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:st.student@ukim.edu.mk\">st.student@ukim.edu.mk<\/a><br \/>\nIn addition, they shall submit their original documents to the University Rectorate.<br \/>\nWhen applying at the University, candidates shall submit the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enrollment Application <a href=\"https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/application-form.doc\">(A1 Form) (link)<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original certificate for completed secondary education (certified by an apostille stamp, that is, a stamp by the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs for countries that are not Hague Convention members);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original certificates for each year completed in secondary education;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original birth certificate;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Original certificate of citizenship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enrollment of these students shall be performed at faculties after the third enrollment period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4 \u2013 Documents for enrollment and tuition fee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The registration process is carried out at the respective faculties, in the end of September.<br \/>\nOnce the list of admitted candidates is announced, students must submit the documents for enrollment listed below.<br \/>\nWhen enrolling, the candidates submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decision on Nostrification of documents for completed secondary education, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student\u2019s index (booklet), student ID and application forms;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three photos (two photos with dimensions of 3.5&#215;4.5 cm and one with dimensions of 2&#215;3 cm);<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Payment slip for the payment of 750 denars for informative, informational, cultural and sports activities of students at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, including the wording \u201cIKSA of UKIM\u201d, _______ (please specify the faculty providing the study program), to the giro account: 100000000063095 depositor: NBRNM, with a budget user account as follows: 1600103689 788 18; income code: 723012, program: 41;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Payment slip regarding the tuition fee paid for the respective semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><br \/>\nStep 5 \u2013 Health Insurance and Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adequate and valid travel medical insurance that covers the expenses, which may arise during the applicant\u2019s stay in RNM or in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and\/or emergency hospital treatment. The applicant must provide proof of travel medical insurance for the entire duration of his stay in RNM.<br \/>\nAfter enrolment, the respective faculty issues the student a confirmation that they were enrolled in the appropriate study program.<\/p>\n<p>With this confirmation, and by contract for rented apartment\/secured accommodation, the student applies to the Interior Ministry \u2013 (the building at MTV, first floor \u2013 stay of foreigners).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 6 \u2013 Visa Application and obtaining and maintaining a legal status in the Republic of North Macedonia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For foreign students, before application for the study program please find additional information about visa requirements for entering in the Republic of North Macedonia and visa application procedure in the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mk\/en\/page\/12\/foreign-citizens\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mk\/en\/page\/12\/foreign-citizens&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630366000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1NKj0Nne2aSGYIZA4PVTMh\">here<\/a>\u00a0.<br \/>\nA foreign student who intends to stay in the Republic of North Macedonia for more than three months must have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/Temporary_residence_permit.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/archive.ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/Temporary_residence_permit.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630366000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0P6KXjP55DJmS9gNENjadA\">temporary residence permit<\/a>\u00a0as a student.\u00a0 \u0410ccording to the Law on Foreigners in the Republic of North Macedonia, temporary residence is granted to a foreigner who intends to stay in the Republic of North Macedonia for the purpose of schooling, studying or learning the language in which the teaching is conducted, and the request for approval of temporary residence is submitted to the Ministry of Interior Affairs upon his\/her entry into the Republic of North Macedonia.<br \/>\nRegulating temporary stay<br \/>\nThe procedure for the request for approval of a temporary stay in the Republic of North Macedonia, as an accompanying document to the request for the issuance of a visa for the regulation of long-term stay (visa D):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A temporary residence permit will be issued on the basis of a request from a foreigner who intends to stay in the Republic of Macedonia.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The request for a temporary residence permit is submitted by the foreigner to the diplomatic and consular office of the Republic of Macedonia abroad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant for a temporary residence permit is obliged to contact the competent authority in person for a conversation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The request must specify the purpose and circumstances of the intended stay in the Republic of Macedonia which must not change during the procedure.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By requesting a temporary residence permit, the foreigner is obliged to submit a valid and recognised travel document or a certified transcript of which is at least three months longer \u2013 from the time provided for stay in the Republic of Macedonia and evidence that the conditions for issuing a temporary residence permit have been met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can find an additional information on the official website of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mvr.gov.mk\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.mvr.gov.mk&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630366000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1cqTzcqGKEVh4mmqX-zNs4\">\u200e<\/a>\u00a0in the part of legislation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/International-students-GUIDE.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/ukim.edu.mk\/dokumenti_m\/nastava\/International-students-GUIDE.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1737801630366000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1vMjfjEXd-DubJnwhqRtbR\">International students&#8217;
