Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is a non-profit educational institution aimed at promoting the Chinese language and culture. It facilitates the learning of the Chinese language and culture, supports Chinese language instruction in educational institutions across Macedonia, and enhances cultural exchange between Macedonia and China.<br \/>\nThe Confucius Institute at UKIM was established in partnership with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is managed by two deans selected from the partner universities.<br \/>\nThe Confucius Institutes worldwide are headquartered in Beijing and operate under the guidance of the International Council for Chinese Language (Hanban), a non-profit organization associated with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
