Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM) for the period 2024\u20132029 was initiated by the current Rector, Prof. Dr. Biljana Angelova. The purpose of its development and adoption is multifaceted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Strategic Plan serves as a document defining the strategic directions, areas, and priorities in the University's scientific and research activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The creation of the Strategic Plan of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM) for the period 2024\u20132029 was initiated by the current Rector, Prof. Dr. Biljana Angelova. The purpose of its development and adoption is multifaceted.\nThe Strategic Plan serves as a document defining the strategic directions, areas, and priorities in the University's scientific and research activities.\nThe basis for the Strategic Plan lies in the dedication to teaching and research activities, strengthening the country's societal, intellectual, scientific, socio-economic, artistic, and cultural capacity, and enhancing the international position and recognition of the University. Its development was guided by major European development documents in the field of higher education and research:\n\u201cEuropean Strategy for Strengthening Higher Education Institutions for the Future of Europe\u201d (European Commission, April 2022),\n\u201cConnecting Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Society: Paving the Way for a New Dimension in European Higher Education\u201d (European Commission, June 2021),\n\u201cPact for Research and Innovation in Europe\u201d (European Commission, November 2021), and\n\u201cVision for Universities without Walls by 2030\u201d (European University Association, 2021).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Strategic Plan defines:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>5 core strategic areas:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"G-list-blt\">\n<li>Teaching and Students<\/li>\n<li>Science, Innovation, and Arts<\/li>\n<li>International Cooperation<\/li>\n<li>Finances and Development<\/li>\n<li>The University's Social Role and Position in Society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>3 areas supporting processes:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"G-list-blt\">\n<li>Digitalization of UKIM and preparation for digital transformation<\/li>\n<li>Financial, personnel, and functional autonomy<\/li>\n<li>Support for the development of administrative staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Strategic activities have been identified within these areas to ensure their implementation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The implementation of the Strategic Plan will enable UKIM to maintain its leadership in higher education in the Republic of North Macedonia and to continuously improve its position at the international
