The Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is a non-profit educational institution aimed at promoting the Chinese language and culture. It facilitates the learning of the Chinese language and culture, supports Chinese language instruction in educational institutions across Macedonia, and enhances cultural exchange between Macedonia and China.
The Confucius Institute at UKIM was established in partnership with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is managed by two deans selected from the partner universities.
The Confucius Institutes worldwide are headquartered in Beijing and operate under the guidance of the International Council for Chinese Language (Hanban), a non-profit organization associated with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The first Confucius Institute was established in 2004 in Seoul, South Korea.
Activities:
Organizing Chinese language classes.
Training Chinese language teachers.
Administering HSK tests (Proficiency in Chinese Language Tests) and teacher certification exams.
Providing information and consulting services about education, culture, and other China-related topics.
Courses are conducted by instructors from China.
The Confucius Institute is located at the National and University Library St. Clement of Ohrid in Skopje, at Blvd. Goce Delchev No. 6.
