The European University Alliances initiative is an ambitious EU-driven effort in line with the European University Strategy е амбициозна иницијатива на ЕУ, во согласност со Европската стратегија за универзитетите.

This initiative aims to establish alliances among higher education institutions across Europe, forming European University Alliances that provide significant benefits to students, academic staff, and society at large.

The initiative is primarily funded through the Erasmus+ program and seeks to enhance the international competitiveness of European higher education institutions while promoting European values, excellence, and identity.

Additional alliances are formed among European universities with similar goals, supported by alternative funding sources. These alliances can apply for the “European” designation by securing funding from EU programs.

Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is a member of the university alliance Across EU.
