The mission of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is to be:

 

  • An autonomous, scientific, and higher education university that ensures teaching, scientific, and applied activities in the fields of natural sciences and mathematics, technical and technological sciences, medical sciences and healthcare, biotechnical sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts;
  • A university dedicated to preserving and internationally affirming the traditional characteristics and values of the Macedonian people (Macedonian language, history, literature, and culture) while fostering the cultural values of other ethnic communities in the Republic of Macedonia;
  • A university open to all students based on equality and merit, regardless of their ideological, political, ethnic, cultural, or social background;
  • A university that aligns its academic offerings with the needs of its social environment and maintains a dynamic and ongoing relationship with it;
  • A university that creates a stimulating environment for its employees, enabling the development of their abilities to fulfill its mission;
  • A university that promotes lifelong and continuous education;
  • A university committed to achieving European norms and standards in all areas of its operation.
