The University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje hosted the presentation of the Economic Report for Europe and Central Asia – Autumn 2024.
An event was held in the premises of the Rectorate, at which the Rector of UКИМ, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, and Massimiliano Paolucci, Director of the World Bank Office for North Macedonia and Kosovo, delivered opening addresses.
🗣️ Paolucci emphasised that North Macedonia should increase its focus on investment in education and the implementation of effective policies to improve the education system. "National teacher training programmes and the updating of funding formulas are key steps in improving the quality of education," he said.
📊 The report was presented by Ivaile Ivoski, Chief Economist for Europe and Central Asia, and Ivan Torre, Senior Economist, while Rafael De Hoyos Navarro presented the World Bank's Education Strategy.
The panel discussion featured:

✅ Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, Rector of UGJK,
✅ Nikica Mojsoska, Executive Director of Macedonia2025,
✅ Rafael De Hoyos Navarro.

The event concluded with closing remarks and conclusions presented by the Rector, Biljana Angelova, the Minister of Education and Science, Vesna Janevska, and Michal Rutkowski, Director for Human Development for Europe and Central Asia.
