Celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the benefactor of the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje

As part of the celebrations for the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the benefactor of the "Atanas Bliznakov" Foundation at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, contracts for the award and continuation of scholarships were presented on 16 December 2024. The contracts were presented by the Pro-Rector for Teaching, Professor Dr Sonja Topuzovska.
Based on the competitions held in the 2021/2022 and 2023/2024 academic years, 99 contracts for the continuation of the scholarship were concluded between the "Atanas Bliznakov" Foundation at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, represented by the President of the Foundation, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, Rector of the University, and the students who received the scholarship.
For the 2024/2025 academic year, following a public call issued on 27 June 2024 and a selection process, The Board of the "Atanas Bliznakov" Foundation at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje has made a decision to award 40 new scholarships for full-time students enrolled on first-cycle studies at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje.
Forty scholarship agreements were signed with the new scholarship recipients. This brings the total number of scholarship recipients studying at the faculties of the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje to 139.
The scholarship is awarded on an ongoing basis to current and future students. Eligibility for the scholarship is determined through a publicly advertised competition. With the help of the scholarships awarded by this Foundation, many former students have realised their dream, graduated, and are now very successful in their field, both at home and abroad.
We congratulate the students who have been awarded the scholarship by the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, and we hope that this funding will assist them in their personal academic development and in achieving their desired life goals.
