Ukim Creates the Future: Quality to Excellence
On 27 October 2025, the first Quality Forum of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje was held, under the motto 'Through Quality to Excellence'.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, the rectors of public and private universities, representatives of the Agency for Quality in Higher Education, deans, heads of units, senators, students and representatives of the business community.
The aim of the forum is to create a lasting platform for dialogue, inspiration and the exchange of good practices, aimed at enhancing the quality assurance system in higher education.
Good practices from the UKIM units and the business sector were shared at the forum.
Significant changes are already being implemented at UКИМ:
A Quality Centre has been established, involving students, academic staff and industry.
The Strategy, the Regulation and the Annual Action Plan for Quality Assurance (2024–2029) have been adopted.
38 training and mentoring sessions have been conducted, new survey software has been implemented, and new indicators for scientific, practical and international excellence have been introduced.
As the Rector of UKIМ, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, pointed out: "Quality is not an end in itself – it is a process that we build together, with vision, commitment and solidarity."„
Ukim is changing. And it is doing so with knowledge, vision and unity.
