Opportunities for the University of Macedonia's Faculty Libraries
The National and University Library "St. Clement of Ohrid" – Skopje, in cooperation with the Institute for Information Science – IZUM from Slovenia, held a workshop on the topic "COBISS Days – Faculty Libraries in the COBISS System", which was held in the premises of the National University Library "St. Clement of Ohrid" – Skopje on 15 November 2022.
The workshop included presentations of the new features in COBISS+, useful for updating library data on the research output and publications of academic staff, such as dCOBISS. The topics discussed included linking faculty libraries with the COBISS.MK library and information system, as well as the possibilities for connecting to the database of the developed UKIМ repository.
At the event, in addition to librarians and professors from UCM, the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr Valentina Gechevska, also participated, who held a meeting with the representatives of IZUM, Dr Aleš Bošnjak, Dr Ismet Ovchina and the NUB, Mr Rahmetulla Kuchi and Ms Elizabeta Kostadinova on the topic of opportunities for integrating the faculties' libraries of UKI in the COBISS system, possibilities for linking to the UKI repository, as well as technical and competency requirements, all through the unified COBISS.MK library management system and databases, managed by the NUB "St. Clement of Ohrid" – Skopje.
