| On 12 October 2023, a meeting was held at the Rectorate of UKI with Rector Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova and Pro-Rector for Science Prof. Dr Valentina Gechevska, with the world's most influential 2% scientists according to the Stanford University list, affiliated with UKI: Academician Ljubcho Kocarev, Academician Leonid Grchev, Academician Valentin Mirchevski, Prof. Ivan Grozdanov, Prof. Trajche Stafilov, Prof. Marjan Gušev, Prof. Biljana Bauer, Prof. Goce Spasovski, Prof. Biljana Risteska Stojkoska and Assoc. Prof. Trifče Sandev. The Rector congratulated them on their success as part of the list of the world's top 2% most influential scientists.At the meeting it was stated that the success of this group of professors at UКИМ is also our shared responsibility. A responsibility to follow positive examples as the standard to which we should aspire as the academic community of UКИМ. UКИМ is in the process of initiating a reform that would raise the standards and criteria in teaching and research not only quantitatively but also qualitatively, so their experience and positive example are of great importance in this regard, which was discussed in more detail.UКИМ possesses top potential, not only in scientific but also in artistic activities. The University will always support all their endeavours for better results, with the aim of achieving better results for the University as a whole.
