Promotion of a collaboration platform with the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje
As part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Red Cross, an event was organised at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje on 12 March 2025 to promote the platform for cooperation between the Red Cross of North Macedonia and the university community. At the event, the Secretary General of the CRS of Macedonia, Dr Sait Saiti, presented a jubilee plaque to the Rector of UКИМ, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, in recognition of her overall contribution to the development and support of our national society's work. During the event, a panel discussion was also held on current social topics from the academic community with the Red Cross, in order to contribute to influencing the development of policies of public interest.
The panel discussion featured Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova – Rector of UGJK, Aleksandar Nikolovski – President of the UGJK Student Council, Prof. Dr Vladimir Ilievski – Faculty of Philosophy, and Suzana T. Paunovska – Secretary of the CKGJ. The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr Nikola Dujovski and Prof. Dr Fadbi Osmani.
The platform for cooperation between the Red Cross and the university community offers students and academic staff the opportunity to participate in humanitarian activities through research and scientific endeavours, and by developing joint programmes and projects in the fields of social and humanitarian sciences, health prevention and disaster preparedness.
