Rector Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova represented the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje at the General Assembly and Annual Conference of the European University Association (EUA), which were held from 10-11 April 2025 in Riga, Latvia. At the General Assembly, the most significant association of higher education institutions in Europe, new members for the governing bodies were elected, and the 2024 Annual Report and the 2025 Annual Programme were adopted. At the Conference, rectors, presidents and vice-rectors of renowned European universities discussed the future of the European university space, the funding of science and the role of universities in societal transformation. Also, Professor Dr Biljana Angelova participated in the UNICA Rectors' Panel Discussion, which was held on 9 April 2025, the day before the EUA Annual Assembly, on the topic 'Competitiveness and Inclusivity in Research and Innovation in Europe'. At the event, senior representatives of European universities discussed and exchanged insights on the key challenges in higher education and research within the HORIZON programme.
