The exceptionally inspirational lecture, which was primarily intended for doctoral candidates and their supervisors, but which also generated considerable interest among other members of the academic community, aimed to motivate, encourage and inspire all those present to strive for better and more visible results and to set higher life goals.

The event was opened by the Rector of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, who noted that it is a great honour and a pleasure that Academician Kadev should close the Annual Conference, which is part of the broader vision of UKIM, and which is being organised jointly for the first time, by grouping related scientific fields.

The achievements of Acad. Prof. Dr Sasko Kadev are not confined to medicine; he is also a top mountaineer who has climbed the world's highest peaks, and in 2024. The University awarded him the prestigious Plaque for a special contribution to the development of scientific research and the internationalisation and affirmation of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje.

In his lecture, through an inspiring personal story, encompassing both cardiac surgery and mountaineering feats, Academician Kedev conveyed to the audience his definition of success: that success happens when we act 'outside the box'.
