Promotion of the monograph and the opening of the exhibition “Slavko Brezoski – The Pioneer of Macedonian Modernism in Brasília“

On 4 June 2025, a promotion of the monograph was held at the Faculty of Architecture – Skopje. “Slavko Brezoski – The Pioneer of Macedonian Modernism in Brasília“ and the opening of the eponymous exhibition dedicated to one of the most significant Macedonian modern architects of the 20th century and the author of the Yugoslav Embassy in Brasilia.

The event was opened by the Rector of UCM, Professor Dr Biljana Angelova, who spoke about the significance of Slavko Brezoski's work in Macedonian culture. Then Professor Dr Ana Ivanovska-Deskova, one of the reviewers of the monograph, addressed the audience, emphasising the importance of the research behind the project.
The exhibition was officially opened by architect Biljana Gucheskа – granddaughter of architect Slavko Brezoski – with an emotional reflection on his architectural ideas.

The authors of the monograph and exhibition, Professor Dr Aneta Hristova-Popovska and Professor Dr Meri Batakojia, moderated the event and expressed their sincere gratitude by presenting copies of the monograph inscribed to all the project's supporters and collaborators.

The event was attended by numerous members of academic and cultural institutions, professors, students, as well as the family members of architect Slavko Brezoski.

The edition, published in English, is intended for a wider academic audience and represents a significant step in the international affirmation of Macedonian architecture.
