• Abstract: For the successful implementation of Physical and Health Education in the lower years of primary education, it is necessary to grasp the subject, aims and objectives of PHE, as well as the basic concepts in PHE teaching. Also covered are the historical aspects of this subject, as well as the anatomical and physiological foundations of physical (bodily) exercise, motor abilities and the means of PHE. The kinesiotherapeutic aspects of teaching, along with the basic applied movements, and the specifics of the content of physical education teaching, in order to proceed to the didactic-methodological content of physical education teaching. The methodological aspects of teaching, as well as the planning and programming of lessons and teaching hours. Finally, in the last part, examples of physical exercises are provided.
