Prof. Dr Ala Shezhen was conferred the title of Professor Honoris Causa by UGJK.

On 22 October, the Rector of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, Professor Dr Biljana Angelova, Rector of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, conferred the high honour – the title of Honorary Professor (Professor Honoris Causa) – upon Professor Dr Alla Sheshken of the Faculty of Philology at Moscow State University 'M. V. Lomonosov', Moscow. The award was bestowed in recognition of her promotion of the University and our country in the international community, her overall achievements in scientific research and teaching and educational activities at the University, and the promotion of the Macedonian language, literature and culture.

Prof. Dr Alla Sheshkena is a distinguished professor, Slavist, comparatist, interpreter and promoter of the Macedonian language and literature. Since 2006, Prof. Sheshkena has been a member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In her decades-long teaching and academic career, she has lectured on Macedonian literature at Moscow State University 'M. V. Lomonosov', thereby establishing Macedonistics in Russia.

Professor Dr Ala Shezhen collaborates with the Faculty of Philology "Blaže Koneski" and the Institute for Macedonian Literature at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, and actively participates in the International Seminar on the Macedonian Language, Literature and Culture in Ohrid.

The conferment of the title of Honorary Professor is an expression of gratitude for her professional contribution, sincere dedication and continuous support in the promotion and appreciation of the Macedonian language, literature and culture.
