Smart Learning Factory SLFS
Smart Learning Factory – Skopje (SLFS) Established in 2023 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje, SLFS provides a physical simulation environment for learning production concepts. It is designed for students and industry professionals to learn about new technologies and develop skills focused on Lean Management and Industry 4.0. SLFS originates from the Learn4SMEs project, "Learning Factory for Enhancing the Digital Competitiveness and Industry 4.0 Readiness of SMEs in the Balkans," funded by EIT-Manufacturing and co-financed by the European Union. |

DIH-FEIT, hosted by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT), is the first fully operational Digital Innovation Hub in North Macedonia. DIH-FEIT serves as a one-stop shop for companies aiming to enhance their competitiveness by leveraging digital technologies. It encourages innovations in business and production processes, products, and services through access to technical expertise and facilities for experimentation and prototyping. Companies can test new solutions before making investments, using modern digital tools that reduce development costs and accelerate commercialization. DIH-FEIT connects businesses with innovators, other value chain members, and potential clients interested in testing innovative solutions. |

An educational and research centre, "KNOWLEDGE + / CO₂ -", has been opened at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UGJK, in cooperation with the company TITAN – USJE.
As a hub for education and research, the centre will facilitate joint projects, professional training, workshops and research, where students, young researchers and practising engineers will work on real-world engineering challenges in direct collaboration with industry. This partnership between academia and industry represents an example of a contemporary approach to higher education and engineering practice, where scientific knowledge, research and innovation are linked to the real needs of industry and society. The centre will contribute to strengthening engineering capacities, knowledge transfer and the creation of sustainable solutions that are in line with national and European goals for the green transition. |
