The Faculty of Philosophy at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje marked its significant jubilee – 105 years of its existence, with a ceremonial gala held on 16 December at the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.

The event highlighted the role of the Faculty of Philosophy as a pillar of the social sciences and humanistic thought, as well as its long-standing mission in shaping generations who carry the light of knowledge, critical thinking and a vision for the future.

For more than a century, the Faculty of Philosophy has written a history filled with knowledge, dedication and academic maturity. It is a path charted by generations of professors and collaborators, and travelled by thousands of students, contributing to the development of scientific excellence, social responsibility, and the cultural and spiritual tradition of the Macedonian state. The Faculty has established itself as a centre of spiritual, scientific and intellectual strength, actively shaping the future of society.

At the ceremonial assembly, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr Oliver Bakreski, the Rector of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, and the Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Dr Vesna Janevska, also delivered their addresses. In their speeches, it was emphasised that the Faculty of Philosophy is not only an educational institution, but also an inexhaustible source of wisdom, a temple of knowledge and a generator of spiritual energy.

As the oldest higher education institution in the country, the Faculty of Philosophy remains a symbol of academic tradition, intellectual strength and the foundation of the social and humanities sciences.
