Prof. Dr Jasmina Petreska Staneva, Institute of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, best scientist in the natural and mathematical sciences

Prof. Dr Jasmina Petreska Staneva from the Institute of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is the recipient of the UGJK Award for the Best Scientist in Mathematical and Natural Sciences for 2024.

The award confirms her long-standing contribution to modern chemistry and the high international visibility of her research.

She conducts scientific research in modern chemistry, focusing on the application and development of advanced analytical and instrumental methods for the analysis of organic compounds of relevance to the environment, food, natural and pharmaceutical products. The research links fundamental knowledge with current challenges and contributes to the development of more sustainable solutions.

In 2024, she achieved high scientific productivity – papers in relevant international journals and conferences, involvement in projects and collaboration with other research groups. In doing so, Prof. Petreska-Stanoeva strengthens the position of the PMF and UKIEM on the international scientific map. ✨
