Prof. Dr Dragan Mijakoski from the Faculty of Medicine, best scientist in medical sciences and healthcare.
Prof. Dr Dragan Mijakoski from the Faculty of Medicine is the recipient of the UKIM Award for the best scientist in the field of medical sciences and healthcare for 2024.
His focus is on public health, occupational medicine, pulmonology and allergy, as well as on mental health related to factors in the work environment.
The research addresses topics such as occupational allergies, chronic respiratory diseases and psychosocial hazards in the workplace.
Particularly significant are the analyses of the health and safety of healthcare workers and the impact of work organisation on workers' mental well-being.
In 2024, Prof. Mijakoski publishes scientific papers and participates in European networks and projects such as GA2LEN, EMBARC, OMEGANET, ReMO and others. His scientific productivity, measured by publications, projects and international collaboration, ranks him among the most productive researchers in his field for that year. ✨
