Prof. Dr Hristo Goreski, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Best Scientist in Technical and Technological Sciences
Prof. Dr Hristo Goreski from FEIT has been named the best scientist of UGJK in technical and technological sciences for 2024. He works at the intersection of electrical engineering, computer science and biomedical engineering, with a focus on smart systems, artificial intelligence and wearable technologies for health monitoring.
His interest is focused on algorithms and systems that, through wearables and sensors, recognise activities, stress and health conditions, with the aim of better prevention and quality of life. The research combines signal processing, machine learning and human–computer interaction.
In 2024, they publish papers in relevant scientific journals such as Nature Scientific Reports, JMIR mHealth and uHealth, BMJ Health Care Informatics, IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Access, as well as at top conferences (ACM UbiComp/ISWC, IEEE EMBC, etc.). The number and quality of publications, together with industry collaborations and international projects, attest to exceptional scientific productivity. ✨
