Sport, as an integral part of an individual's social needs, brings together unity and tolerance, incredible socialisation, the development of mental and physical health, and the breaking down of prejudices and stereotypes. Sports competitions allow students from different faculties to get to know one another, socialise and communicate. At the same time, the competitions contribute to the creation and strengthening of a competitive spirit, fostering Olympic values to develop healthy young individuals – students. A specific aim of ours is to encourage young individuals to continue developing their personal, moral and social values, as well as to increase their motivation, self-esteem and respect for others.   Thanks to the great support of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' of Skopje (UCM), the Rector, the Rectorate, The Deans, the Management of UKI and the Student Assembly, with the technical organisation of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sport and Health (FPEH) and the UKI University Sports Union, we have grandly resumed the traditional UKI University Sports Competitions.   The UКИМ University Sports Competitions for the 2023/2024 academic year began on 4 December 2023, concluding on 27 May 2024 with the final matches for first place in the team sports.   The following took part in this year's competitions: 1,953 students and 58 officials from the 18 faculties of UKIМ, as well as students from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "St Clement of Ohrid" in Skopje, an affiliated member of the University.   The team sports competitions were held using a single-round Berger system with a final: quarter-final, semi-final and final.   The awards were presented by Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova, Rector of UGJK, Prof. Dr Valentina Gechevska, Vice-Rector for Science at UGJK, and Prof. Dr Vlatko Nedelkovski, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Technology. Prof. Dr Aleksandar Simeonov, President of the University Sports Union of UKI, Prof. Dr Nebojša Markovski, Pro-Dean for Teaching at FFOSZ, Prof. Dr Adriana Misovski, Pro-Dean for Science and International Cooperation at FFOSZ, Prof. Dr Slavica Novachevska, Professor at FFFSZ, Prof. Dr Branko Krstevski, Professor at FFFSZ, Prof. Dr Risto Stamenov, Professor at FFFSZ, Prof. Dr Jana Karshakovska-Dimitrievska, Professor at FFFSZ, Prof. Dr Sašo Todorovski, Professor at FFOSZ, Prof. Dr Ruzhdija Kalač, Professor at FFOSZ, and Prof. Dr Ivan Anastasovski, Professor at FFOSZ.
