National Geographic published an article about research by a professor from UCM.
National Geographic Espana published on the front page. Article for a scientific publication by Prof. Dr Aleksandar Uzunov, from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, who, together with their team from several countries, identified a bee colony of the Asian honey bee for the first time in Europe. The scientific paper titled "“Honey bee in Europe: first report of the dwarf honey bee in Malta", published in the Journal of Apicultural Research, It attracted great interest, but also concern due to the possibility of transferring pathogens, thereby putting honey bees in Europe at risk.
This once again recognises the research competence and commitment of the academic staff of the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" of Skopje.
