FINKI celebrated its 15th anniversary and graduated a record number of students with bachelor's and master's degrees.
The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje celebrated its 15th anniversary, confirming its position as one of the leading educational and scientific institutions in the country. As part of the ceremony, a record number of graduates and master's students were also celebrated, which is a significant indicator of the continuous growth, interest, and quality of the teaching and research process.
In recent years, FINKI has built a strong reputation through contemporary study programmes, active collaboration with industry, and significant participation in the processes of digital transformation in society. Its students and graduates are recognised as highly qualified professionals who successfully integrate into the domestic and international labour markets, contributing to the development of a technologically advanced economy.
The 15th anniversary represents not only a reflection on the achievements, but also an impetus for further development, innovation, and the strengthening of the Faculty's role as a driver of knowledge, technology, and societal change in the country and beyond.
This significant event also highlights the role of higher education as a key factor in building a competitive and modern society, where knowledge, innovation and young talent are the foundation for long-term development and progress.
„In a relatively short period, the Faculty has built a strong identity and reputation, confirming that vision, quality and dedication are the foundations upon which institutions of lasting value are built. This jubilee is not only a testament to our achievements to date, but also an impetus for even greater accomplishments in the future.
The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, although one of the University's younger faculties, with its energy, quality and continuous achievements, has established itself as a leader in IT education, not only in our country but also more widely. Its role has long since transcended the traditional teaching and research activities, evolving into a significant driver of societal processes, particularly in the field of digital transformation." – emphasised the Rector of UGJK, Professor Dr Biljana Angelova, in her address.
