Одбележана 73 – годишнината од основањето и патрониот ден на УКИМ - Универзитет „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје

The 73rd anniversary of the founding and the patron saint's day of UKI M was marked.

As part of the programme to mark the 73rd anniversary of the University's foundation and the celebration of 24 May – On 20 May, flowers were laid at the monument to Saints Cyril and Methodius, on the university's Faculty of Social Sciences campus, in celebration of the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the patron saint's day of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje. This year, the ceremony was also organised in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The UGJK delegation, led by the Rector, Prof. Dr Nikola Jankulovski, comprised the following: the Pro-Rectors: for Finance, Investments and Development, Prof. Dr Biljana Angelova; for Teaching, Prof. Dr Kristina Spasevska; for Science, Prof. Dr Valentina Gechevska; the Secretary General of UKI, Ms Maria Manevska; and the President of the University Senate, Prof. Dr Aneta Barakoska. The deans, directors and other representatives of the faculties and institutes of UKIМ joined in the commemoration of the patrons by laying fresh flowers. Delegations from both the Confucius Institute and the UGM Trade Union Federation also paid their respects to the University's patrons by laying fresh flowers.
At the monument, in honour of the University's patronal day, high-ranking delegations from the state leadership, the diplomatic corps and other socio-political organisations in the country laid fresh flowers. Before the monument to our patrons, the state holiday was marked by the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr Dimitar Kovachevski, with a delegation which included: the Deputy Prime Minister, Bojan Маричиќ, the Minister of Justice, Nikola Топанчевски, and the Deputy Minister of Defence, Bashkim Хасани. Fresh flowers at the monument of Saints Cyril and Methodius were also laid by a delegation from the Assembly, a delegation from the Office of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, a delegation from the Union of Fighters of the Republic of North Macedonia, a delegation from the Armed Forces of the Republic of North Macedonia, the delegation of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as the delegation of the City of Skopje.
