PARFORCE: Partnership for Virtual Laboratories in Civil Engineering Study Programmes
Within the ERASMUS+ programme for strategic partnerships in digital education, a strategic partnership has been formed between Bauhaus University Weimar (BUW), Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), University of Aveiro (UA), University of Osijek (UNIOS) and the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' of Skopje, Institute for Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IEEIS), in the PARFORCE project: Partnership for Virtual Laboratories in Civil Engineering Curricula.
The main objective of PARFORCE is the development of a common platform for virtual laboratory experiments to support higher education in the field of civil engineering in Europe. The focus is on making various laboratory experiments, which are not part of the standard curriculum at civil engineering faculties and are conducted at specific institutions, virtually available to future generations of civil engineering students.
The target groups are students of civil engineering at universities in Europe, the lecturers from the partner universities, as well as the wider academic community.
The results and experiences from the project will be disseminated at various national and international events, in the form of presentations and publications.
