The University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje awarded 135 scholarships from the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation for students who enrolled in the 2021/2022 academic year at the faculties of UKIM.

On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of the donor of the "Atanas Bliznakoff" Foundation at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje today, 07.10.2021, For the first time, 135 scholarships have been awarded to students who enrolled on first-cycle studies at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' of Skopje in the 2021/2022 academic year..
Although it was originally planned to award 40 scholarships, the Board of the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation decided to increase the number of scholarships awarded this year, and to support all candidates who applied to this competition.
Each year, every student will receive a scholarship of 120,000.00 denars to support their studies, provided they make regular progress throughout their studies.
The scholarships were awarded to full-time students who enrolled in the first year of their first-cycle studies at the faculties of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje this academic year, on the basis of their results and success in the previous cycle of education, and on the basis of their achievements and motivation for personal and professional development, in accordance with the conditions and criteria specified in the published public competition.
We believe that these young, motivated people deserve the opportunity to continue their education at a university of their choice, thereby supporting their professional development and success. We are convinced that these young people will become successful professionals in the future, who will contribute to the further development and progress of Macedonia.
The Atanas Bliznakov Foundation was established in 1977 by one of the greatest donors from the diaspora. The Foundation's scholarships are provided by the interest and dividends of the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation in the United States of America.
The procedure for selecting the candidates was conducted via a platform provided by the organisation Macedonia 2025.
