UoM at EU2SE Entrepreneurship Week in Caen, France

The University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje participated in Entrepreneurship Week, held in Caen, France, from 15 to 20 March 2026.

The event was the final student activity within the project 'European Upskilling of Students for Sustainable Entrepreneurship' (EU2SE), funded by the Erasmus+ KA220 programme. This is the first joint project of the partners from the AcrossEU alliance, in which, alongside UKI, the universities of Caen (France), Rovaniemi (Finland), Valladolid (Spain) and Fribourg (Switzerland) are also participating.

The programme was dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions, teamwork and hands-on prototyping. It logically followed on from the first Entrepreneurship Week successfully organised by UKI M in Ohrid in May 2025 and represents a synthesis of all project activities. In addition to students and professors from the partner universities, students from the Montreal High School of Technology, Canada, also took part.

A significant role as lecturers and mentors was played by Prof. Dr Stojan Debarliiev from the Faculty of Economics, who delivered the workshop "Iteration & Business Model Adjustments", and Prof. Dr Mare Srbinovska from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, who led the "Hands-on Prototyping" segment. Both actively participated in the mentoring sessions and team work with the students.

A group of students from UGJK, namely from FEIT, FINKI, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Economics, demonstrated a high level of knowledge, creativity, practical skills and leadership abilities within their international teams. They were among the leading idea generators and took responsibility for presenting the developed solutions at the final presentations.

Through participation in this activity, the students acquired key competencies: the development and testing of business ideas, interdisciplinary and intercultural collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, prototyping and effective presentation. These skills represent a significant added value in their further academic and professional development, especially in the context of contemporary challenges related to sustainability and innovation.

UКИМ's participation in the EU2SE project confirms its active role in European educational initiatives and its commitment to contemporary educational models focused on practical learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with European priorities for green and digital transformation.
