University Council
The University Council supervises the implementation of the activities of the University, the tasks of the University in accordance with the law, the legality of its operations, the rational use of human and material resources, and performs other duties defined by the founding act and this Statute. Within its competencies, the Council proposes measures to the governing bodies of the University for consistent implementation of the University’s activities and tasks, points out unlawful acts and actions by the University and its units, proposes measures for the rational use of human and material resources of the University and its units, ensures the protection of the University’s autonomy, and undertakes measures in the event of violation of the University’s autonomy. It submits an annual report to the ministry responsible for higher education and to the University Senate, and performs other activities of importance to the University and its units. In its operations, the Council may not undertake actions that would limit or violate the autonomy of the University. The University Council elects a Chairperson from among its members. |
