UKIM Final of the Innovative Student Competition Team3Win, Sponsored by the prestigious automotive company ADAC Automotive
The dedication of University "St. Cyril and Methodius"„ in Skopje (UКИМ) By deepening collaboration with industry and fostering new talent among students, it contributes to technological development, creating a dynamic synergy that benefits both students and wider society. From the memorandum on academia–industry cooperation, concluded in February 2024 between University of Macedonia and German Automobile Club Automotive from the USA, The innovative student competition emerged. Team3Win, organised at the UKIМ technical campus under the sponsorship of ADAC. |
| On 19 June 2024, the final of the Team3Win, Sponsored by the prestigious car company German Automobile Club Automotive. The theme of the engineering challenge was set at the beginning of the semester by German Automobile Club Automotive, and read:
How will you get in and out of a car in 2040? Of the 25 teams that applied, 8 teams reached the final. At the public presentation before a jury of company and Faculty representatives, excellent innovative ideas developed by the student teams were presented. The top three student ideas were awarded prizes provided by the company. German Automobile Club Automotive and they will enter the second phase of support through the development of prototypes. The winners are the following three conceptual solutions:

| Through this initiative, students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (MFS), The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science (FINKI) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Engineering (FEIIT) are given access to advanced resources, mentorship from experienced professionals and financial support for the development of state-of-the-art projects, ranging from sustainable vehicle designs.
This partnership not only enhances the students' educational experience but also fosters a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, preparing the next generation of engineers to tackle the challenges of the automotive industry. This inspiring collaboration between industry and academia paves the way for applying theoretical knowledge in practice, providing students with invaluable experience by solving real-world industry problems. |
