  • Abstract: The main aim of the book is to study curves in space, scalar and vector fields, as well as their physical interpretations. For curves, the concepts of curvature and torsion are introduced, as are the tangent, normal and binormal vectors. The three fundamental operations on scalar and vector fields are introduced: the gradient, the divergence and the curl. Line and surface integrals of scalar and vector fields are also considered. The book concludes with the three key results of vector analysis: Green's theorem, Stokes' theorem, and Gauss's theorem.
