Opportunities for collaboration with the publishing house Elsevier

UКИМ has launched a collaboration with Elsevier, through Science Direct and Scopus.

A working group from the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, led by the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr Valentina Gechevska and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr Ordan Chukaliev, held a working meeting with representatives of the Science Direct aggregator from the renowned academic publishing house Elsevier, led by Helena Paczuska, Manager for Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. The meeting was held on 25 October 2022 at the University Rectorate.

The main aim of the meeting was to initiate a collaboration with the most significant aggregator of scientific research, Elsevier's ScienceDirect, by analysing opportunities for access to full-text scientific publications and books, classifications by scientific fields, special issues, as well as the tools of Elsevier's Scopus indexing database, to improve the visibility of the University's research resources.

The collaboration with Elsevier, through Science Direct and Scopus, offers the academic community of UGJK, lecturers, associates and students of all study cycles, opportunities for access to scientific publications related to up-to-date scientific research, collections of academic publications for all research areas, as well as improved visibility for their own research results.
