International scientific conference: scientific and journalistic integrity in biomedicine

On 25 April 2024, an international scientific conference was held at the MANAU on scientific and journalistic integrity in biomedicine.
The Patron of the Conference was Prof. Dr Biljana Anglova, Rector of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, and the organisers were the Macedonian Association of Medical Editors, the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, Faculty of Medicine – Skopje.
In front of more than 100 participants, new information was shared on the publication of scientific papers.
„The publication of scientific results and communication with society is particularly important due to the scientific integrity and social responsibility carried by academic institutions worldwide, and thus in our country. Additionally, prestige in terms of quality, excellence and originality, as well as the methodologies for monitoring and evaluating the results of scientific research, imposes criteria within the academic community for career progression and the awarding of accolades and prizes, which are based on metrics and indicators related to the publication of research activities," emphasised Prof. Dr Biljana Anglova.
The Rector, on behalf of the entire academic community of the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje and in her own name, congratulates the 10th anniversary of the Macedonian Association of Medical Editors and wishes them continued successful work and achievements in their cooperation with the University.
