On 26 December 2023, scholarship agreements were signed. The scholarships are awarded by the Atanas Bliznakov Foundation at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje. Contracts for the award of scholarships were signed by 58 new scholarship recipients and 76 scholarship recipients whose scholarships are being renewed, having first been awarded in 2021. The Rector, Professor Dr Biljana Angelova, who is also the Director of the Foundation, addressed the attendees with fitting words about the life and work of the donor, Atanas Bliznakov.

Bliznakov is the first in our university's line of donors. In his will, he donated part of his personally acquired capital to the Foundation as funds intended to provide scholarships for talented students who lack sufficient financial means for their education.

With the help of the scholarships awarded by this foundation, many former students have realised their dream, graduated, and are now very successful in their field, both at home and abroad.
