Memorandum of cooperation signed with the Embassy of France in the Republic of North Macedonia
![]() On 12 December this year, the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Embassy of France in the Republic of North Macedonia. On behalf of both institutions, the Memorandum was signed by the University's Rector, Professor Dr Nikola Jankulovski, and the Ambassador of the French Republic to the country, His Excellency Mr Cyrille Bombardier.
The signing of the Memorandum is intended to foster mutual cooperation, initiated by the needs of higher education, in order to achieve the following objectives:
In this regard, the Faculty of Philology at the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' and the Embassy of France, through the French Institute in Skopje, are defining an action plan which aims to promote studies in French language and literature through three areas of activity: the provision of mobility scholarships to France for students on this programme at the Department; communication activities aimed at secondary school pupils from 15 pre-identified secondary schools in North Macedonia; and the improvement and enrichment of French language studies. |
