Ukim and the Securities Commission signed an Agreement for the advancement of financial education.
✨On 11 November 2025, the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje and the Securities Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia, based on a Memorandum of Cooperation signed in October 2021, concluded an Agreement for the advancement of activities and the formation of a coordinating body.
The coordinating body will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the agreed activities in the field of professional non-formal education for first- and second-cycle students in economics, finance, business and financial law, capital markets and financial instruments, in accordance with domestic and international regulations.
The University and the Securities Commission will cooperate to innovate the curricula of the University's faculties of economics and law and its institutes in areas related to the capital market, financial instruments, corporate finance, corporate governance, securities and related topics.
As part of this collaboration, activities will also be carried out, such as updating teaching content with current data and examples; and involving industry experts; organising study visits, simulations, training and research; promotion of the training organised by the Securities Commission; joint preparation of teaching materials; as well as integrating practical experience into the teaching process.
The contracting parties will also explore opportunities for creating a joint digital platform for financial education, joint placements, scholarships and student employment.
